Samantha Sidoriak - Week 7 character in progress

just starting the rendering process in some areas, a lot of it is still mostly sketch

Week 8 Roger Vekstein

Here is my basebody I appologize for it being late.

I rewatched the portrait class and I redid the face because the first one I did was way too saturated

Hi Zach, I have been very busy this week I didn't get round to the detailing stage yet, but I already made some guides for what type of clothing I want on my character. Your class ends at 5 am my time so I will watch back the recording tomorrow.

Melissa M.Moo - Week 07

Hello Zach. I hope you had a nice week. This is my progress for this week, I wish I'd have pushed forward with the clothes, but I do need some advice on rendering the face, I still feel it needs more depth and definition, but once I'm adding color some of the values I did in B&W disappear a little bit. Should I do a bit of paint over or work with new color layers with masks to keep building a more acceptable result?

She's supposed to have paint on her face (as I referenced in my ref board), and the headpiece is not fully render but I did try to use some textures on the horns, and still some marks on her face are missing but before going further I wanna hear your feedback. See you in class!

Aurélie Drapeau - Week 7

 Hey Zach :)

I know I'm a bit late, and I can't make it to live classes, but I would like to hear (or read) your feedback on my final project.

I'm currently at the "mapping" stage of my character. I simplified the drawing a lot due to time constraints, but I still want her to look cool. I will add colour and details for next week.

Cheers,

Aurélie

Zachary Cretegny - Week 7

I'm trying to focus on the upper body at this point. I was wondering what the best way to design tattoos would be. Is it better to draw them separately and then apply them with the warp tool or should they be drawn directly on the character's skin?

Sheng Zhao - Final Proj - Anatomy Correction

Hello Zach, sorry I am behind on the final project. This is my submission for the first part - anatomy correction.

Week7- Presentation Work from class and assignment.

Hi friends, We are now fully focused on your final project.

I recommend you to make a similar process to what I demonstrate in the slide .
After you have a correct pose and anatomy make a clay render for the naked body of your character . Try to avoid detailing for this  pass.
You can start your design in the layers on top, but please post also the clay render with the portrait (no outfit on it.) separately .

Melissa M.Moo - Week 06

 Hello Zach!

I couldn't upload on time last week, it took me a while to decide what kind of character I wanted to do. Here's my pose sketch and sketch with clothing plus my reference board. I'll try to push the rendering for this week to make up for the one I missed.

I have a question and a huge favor to ask. I do need feedback with her pose, she seems more stiff instead of looking as if she was "ready to attack" position, could you tell me how can I make it better before jumping in with the rendering? In case I can't answer or ask more questions during the class, it might be because of a power outage. There was one earlier today, so if that's the case I will watch the recording with the feedback. Thank you in advance.

Eric - Week 6

A couple characters I've been working on this week. Paid particular attention to the metal portions (shoulder armor, armguard, and leg plates), as well as skin. Fabric and some of the details are not rendered yet.

Max de Wit - Week 6: Hard Surface Material

I really struggled with this one. I saw many people work in grayscale, maybe I should have done that too in hindsight. I paid attention to the shading and lighting direction but for some reason it doesn't feel three dimensional to me, am I missing something? I am looking forward to the class. :)

Gwinny Mulders - week 6

Hi Zach!
I rendered the chest in grayscale first and will add colours later. I also started on the other armor pieces. However, those are not finished yet.
I'm looking forward to your feedback and today's class!

Karla Martinez - Week 6

Portrait still needs more render but shaded the base to get to work on the armor.

Allen Yu - Week 6

Couldn't get as far as I would have liked. Didn't completely finish rendering the armor and also need to work on the color portrait for my character
