Hi friends, I hope the class was educating and that you are inspired to start your final assignment. Here are the guidelines for the process we are going to use.
1 start to think about your character, get inspired and gather reference. It is good that you will be able to describe your character with 3 different titles. Make a board of inspiration pieces and images that will help you to assembly your design. Try to think about the personality of your character as well as it's silhouette and outfit.
2 - look for reference for a pose as well as some reference for the portrait. My recommendation is to start sketching the entire pose and refine your sketch by tracing silhouette layer over a line layer and vice versa. Install an advanced portrait on top of your body's initial sketch in order to help you spot in-accurate areas and recognize proportions problems. Correct yourself the best that you can.
You can start sketching some designs if you like one top of the silhouette, but it is very important to present your character naked first and try to achieve a pose that works well with clear and accurate anatomy .
